As I am working from my computer, the snow is falling, and the wind is whipping through the trees. I see the sun peering through my window and it feels good…until I step outside. Listen, I appreciate nature and the seasons, however, this is the time of year where I get antsy for Mother Nature to line things up so I can play in the sunshine (#snowfree). I feel the change. I have been waking up earlier, and my mood has changed (for the better, you can ask my husband HA), yet my spirit feels so restless…
It must be SPRING FEVER!
Daylight savings day brings longer days, warmer sunshine, and SPRING. It is my favorite season with the new growth, bright colors, and rising temperatures. Spring is the season of new beginnings. There is this awakening in Nature that we feel too.
Wintertime often means hibernating, eating more comfort foods and being less active. With Spring just around the corner, we can push through Spring fever, winter fatigue, and show our body some renewed love and energy with a Myers Infusion at IM of CNY.
Named for the late John Myers, M.D., the Myers Cocktail is an infusion of multiple vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins, vitamin C, calcium, zinc, potassium, and magnesium. This nutrient cocktail is injected into the body via IV. It is believed that by introducing the mixture intravenously, the higher concentration levels of essential vitamins and minerals work more effectively than if they are taken orally.
Let’s look at some of these powerhouse ingredients:
B Vitamins: B Vitamins offer a wealth of health benefits. They help produce energy, are critical for growth and development, keep the eyes, nervous system, and skin healthy, help with the digestive system, break down fats, and much more.
Vitamin C: One of the most effective nutrients, Vitamin C protects against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, eye disease, and even improves the appearance of skin.
Calcium: Most people know that calcium strengthens bones and prevents osteoporosis. In addition, it protects cardiac muscles, controls blood pressure, prevents premenstrual depression, and helps maintain optimal body weight.
Magnesium: Magnesium is an important aid in calcium absorption, and so contributes to overall bone health. Additionally, it decreases the risk of developing diabetes, maintains heart health, prevents, and relieves migraines, helps relieve PMS symptoms, and reduces anxiety.
“It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want — oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!” — Mark Twain
This Myers infusion may just be the ray of sunshine you need right now. Take the time for yourself and rejuvenate your soul and body at IM of CNY. Call us today!
