As we head into the fall season, it is important to boost our immune health. While seasonal influenza (flu) viruses can be detected year-round in the United States, flu viruses are most common during the fall and winter. The exact timing and duration of flu seasons can vary, but typically influenza activity often begins to increase in October. Flu activity usually can peak between December and February. Here at IM of CNY, we offer several different infusions to help with your immune system. Immune Resilience is one of our specialty infusions that has several vitamins that may help to strengthen your immune system.
Having a healthy immune system is vital in fighting off illnesses, recovering from illnesses and injuries, and recovery from cancer treatment. An infusion for optimal energy and healthy immune system, this infusion includes powerful antioxidants which rev-up your metabolic processes, enhance energy production, reduce the effects of stress, help your body “bounce back,” improve your quality of sleep, maintain a healthy nervous system, and will fuel your body and support resilience.
Ingredients in Immune Resilience: Magnesium, Tralement™, Zinc, B-complex, B6, Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps to maintain normal nerve and muscle function, supports a healthy immune system, keeps the heartbeat steady, and helps bones remain strong. It also helps adjust blood glucose levels, and aids in the production of energy and protein.
Tralement™ (Trace Element) is a source of zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium for parenteral nutrition.
Zinc functions as an antioxidant and can stabilize membranes. It is known to play a central role in the immune system, and zinc-deficient persons experience increased susceptibility to a variety of pathogens. Zinc affects multiple aspects of the immune system, from the barrier of the skin to gene regulation within lymphocytes. Zinc is crucial for normal development and function of cells, mediating nonspecific immunity such as neutrophils and natural killer cells.
Vitamin B Complex is a combination of B vitamins used to treat or prevent vitamin deficiency due to poor diet, certain illnesses, alcoholism, or during pregnancy. Vitamins are important building blocks of the body, and help keep you in good health.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps protect your cells against the effects of free radicals — molecules produced when your body breaks down food, or is exposed to tobacco smoke, radiation from the sun, X-rays, or other sources. Free radicals might play a role in heart disease, cancer, and other diseases.
Vitamin B6 helps maintain a normal amount of this amino acid in your blood. It also helps to build a stronger immune system. Vitamin B6 helps chemical reactions in the immune system, helping it to work better. Eating foods rich in vitamin B6 (such as carrots, acorn squash, spinach, sweet potatoes, and eggs to name a few) will help your bodyguard against infection.
If you are interested in getting an infusion, please call the office (315-741-5774) to discuss the ordering process. This is a specialty infusion so it will need to be ordered and pre-paid prior to infusion.
